I’m sorry, Sandpoint, but you opted to sacrifice some of your “small town character” for a scenic byway (which is actually a bypass) a few years ago when you did not push for a westside bypass.
Now you are stuck with the prospect of losing the “small town character” to a major highway system through the middle of town. This was a completely predictable outcome of the Sand Creek Byway decision.
Sorry, Sandpoint, you can’t have your cake and eat it, too.
