America must return to its founding principles
In the 1980s my husband and I met some Ukrainian political refugees. They were intelligent, educated people. They said their government gradually began passing laws concerning the right to have guns and religious freedom. It escalated to the point where police were bursting into people’s homes, arresting them and taking their guns. They warned us they could see the beginnings of the same thing here, and we’d better be aware, not let it happen.
In Germany home schooling is against the law. You can be arrested and your children taken away from you if you do. About a year ago a German family, who were home schooling, fled to the United States for asylum. Eric Holder has been trying to deport this family back to Germany. What a travesty! Millions of illegal aliens are allowed to be here, collect food stamps, get government aid, can commit crimes, and not get deported! The Department of Justice has become the Department of Injustice.
The flower children, LSD users, SDS and other radical groups of the 1960s and ‘70s have cleaned up their act — on the outside — and have become school teachers, university professors and politicians, spewing their moral/political poison in a more persuasive, agreeable package.
The men who led us in our struggle for religious and political freedom pledged, “our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor”. Most of them lost all three, but our nation won. America needs to get back to our founding principles, based on God’s holy word.
