Spagon's experience invaluable on board

| May 16, 2013 7:00 AM

Because I’ve been on the East Bonner County Library District’s board of trustees for about six years, I’m excited to see that we have four candidates running for two seats. Too many times in previous trustee elections, there has been a lack of candidates. Now we have a great group of individuals hoping to help oversee the operation of our terrific local institution — the library.

Unfortunately, all the candidates can’t be a part of the library board. As such, I urge you to vote for Jim Spagon for library trustee on May 21. Jim has been on the board for about four years and during that period, he has distinguished himself as a valuable member of the board. He brings to the board decades of business experience, an incredible curiosity, an amazing analytical mind, a love of books and music, and a true desire to serve the public. That mindset runs deep in Jim Spagon; he’s served on the local airport board and runs a local non-profit organization.

Again, I urge voters to cast one of their ballots for Jim Spagon for EBCLD board trustee on May 21. Only two of the four fine candidates this time will get to serve on the board. I’d hate to see the library board lose such a quality individual, a learned gentleman and dedicated public servant as Jim Spagon. Please vote for Jim Spagon so he can continue to contribute to our library district.
