Cardio Junkies host Aspirin Rally Run

SANDPOINT — More than 60 runners worked out some of their Lost in the 50’s revelry, as the annual Aspirin Rally Run capped a busy weekend in Sandpoint on Sunday morning.

The local Cardio Junkies Running Group provided the race support, and Bonner General Hospital was on hand at the finish line to serve cookies and water.

Tami Hicks clocked a 20:25 to top the female finishers in the 5K fun run, while Sam Mills finished in 18:29 to lead the male runners. There were age-group awards, and finish times were posted as soon as the runners crossed. There were also four kids categories, each of which awarded prizes, and race organizers are hoping for a bigger youth turnout in the future.
