SANDPOINT — The Idaho Club is pleased to announce that its Jack Nicklaus Signature Course will open for play for the 2013 season starting this Friday, May 24.

A special Memorial Day rate will be offered through Monday, May 27. To find out more about this special rate and to make a starting time, please call the golf shop at (208) 265-2345. Starting times are required and are available from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Idaho Club is located eight miles east of Sandpoint on Highway 200.  The par 71, 7,089-yard layout is nestled in a beautiful valley along the Pack River, with abundant waterways, tree lined fairways and granite rock outcroppings.

It is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Idaho and features bent grass tees, fairways and greens, with fescue roughs. In addition to the championship tees, there are three additional sets of tees that range in yardage from 6,560 to 5,049. There is also a combo tee, so players of all levels of ability can enjoy their round.

Golf Digest ranked it as the 6th best new private course in the United States for 2009.

The rates for the 2013 season have been reduced for Bonner County residents to $80 per round, including the use of a golf cart and the practice facility before play. A twilight rate (after 1:30 p.m.) is available for $60 per round. The rate for the general public residing outside of Bonner County is $125 with a Twilight rate of $80.
