Mane Reflections would like to say “thank you” to all the wonderful people who generously donated their beautiful hair to a special organization — Locks of Love.

We have been keeping track of all the donors since 1998.

This is ‘Mane Reflections” 15th year for contributions and we couldn’t have done it without you. Every year is so special. We meet Incredible people with their own special reason why they are donating.

Between 1998 and 2000, we had 32 people donate 358 inches or 29 feet. In 2001, we had 32 people donate 343 inches or 28 feet; in 2002, we had 51 people donate 605 inches or 50 feet. In 2003, there were 25 donors, with 291 inches or 24 feet; in 2004, 45 donors for 512 inches or 42 feet; in 2005, 32 donors for 398 inches or 33 feet.

In 2006, there were 57 donors for 693 inches or 57 feet; in 2007, 68 donors for 783 inches or 76 feet; in 2008, 73 donors for 919 inches or 76 feet; in 2009, 56 donors for 597 inches or 49 feet.

In 2010, there were 52 donors for 553 inches or 46 feet; in 2011, there were 48 donors for 562 inches or 46 feet; and in 2012, there were 38 donors for 438 inches or 36 feet.

In the 15 years, there have been a total of 609 people donating 7,052 inches or 587 feet.

The longest donation from a female was 26 inches from Peggy Kennedy. The longest donation from a male was 21 inches from Ron Bennett. We have had one female donate six times since 1998, Celina Brower, who donated a total 60 inches. The oldest person donating was May Coinson, who donated a 25-inch braid.

Thank you to each and everyone who has participated in making this an excellent experience!
