PRIEST RIVER — A Washington state man who was injured in a rollover crash on Sunday is being cited for drunken driving, according to Idaho State Police.

State police said Joshua J. Frye was southbound on East River Road when he lost control of the Dodge Dakota pickup truck he was driving and rolled several times. Frye, 22, of Newport, was airlifted to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene for treatment. A passenger in the rig, 21-year-old Jeffrey J. Baker, also of Newport, was also injured, but was not transported, state police said.

Neither Frye nor Baker were wearing seat belts, ISP said.

The crash happened at about 6:47 p.m. at the Lost Creek Road turnoff.

The investigation is ongoing, although state police said Frye will be cited for drunken driving.
