The Flower Farm celebrating 20th anniversary

| May 31, 2013 7:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The Flower Farm, a family-owned greenhouse business located in the Selle Valley, is celebrating the company’s 20th anniversary.

To celebrate, The Flower Farm is hosting a party at their Selle Road location on June 1, 2013 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. A free barbecue lunch will be served. Door prizes will be awarded every 20 minutes and an all-day customer appreciation sale will be held.

The Flower Farm was founded by Dave and Mary Reisenauer in 1993. Growing bedding plants for the wholesale market, the Reisenauers quickly built a reputation for producing plants of exceptional quality and for providing excellent customer service. Eventually they began to offer their plants to the general public.

In 2004, Dave and Mary sold The Flower Farm to Dennis Moore and Cindy Scott. While maintaining The Flower Farm’s reputation for quality and service, Moore and Scott focused on the retail market. An 1,800-square-foot store was added in 2006 and the product mix was gradually adjusted to reflect the growing consumer demand for premium plants suitable for use in hanging baskets and container gardening.

“The Flower Farm is proud to mark this momentous milestone and we are thankful for the wonderful support from the Sandpoint community that made it possible,” said Mr. Moore. Ms. Scott added, “The Flower Farm looks forward to another 20 years .”
