Aitken would serve city well on council

| November 2, 2013 7:00 AM

I am writing in support of Bill Aitken who is running for City Council. Bill and his wife, Stephanie moved their family to Sandpoint seven years ago after reading that famous article in Sunset Magazine.

They didn’t just move sight unseen. They made a trip to Sandpoint and attended a few school and community events. They visited businesses, talked to locals, checked out the schools. They did their homework and fell in love with our town.

From the beginning, they became active members of our town. Bill served as the board president for the Selkirk School where his children attended preschool. He currently serves on the Historic Commission and on the Sandpoint Athletic and Recreation Center (SPARC) board.

We would be served well if he was elected to the city council. He is dedicated to making our community a quality place to live and raise our children. He will do his homework.

Bill Aitken has my support.
