Why can't we all just get along together?

Why can’t we all just get along together? Is that a rhetorical question? When you have a person seeking a taxpayer-funded recall of Steve Youngdahl, a public official who is taking the responsible step of considering all the possibilities regarding an explosive issue instead of an open public dialogue, because that candidate finds fault with data presented by that official then you have a partial answer to the first question. And if power corrupts, just you wait until it is made available.
The next question is, “Why is it that the very people who speak so loudly for tolerance are often the same people who are so quick to criticize anyone who disagrees with their point of view?”
