Drug crackdown nets heroin, meth
SANDPOINT — Nearly a hundred grams of heroin were discovered when Bonner County sheriff’s officials raided a Sagle home last month, court records show.
Chris Earl Woodall and Dylan Benjamin Johnson are charged with trafficking the addictive narcotic, in addition to possessing methamphetamine. They also face multiple counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
Woodall, 50, and Johnson, 22, are being held at the Bonner County Jail with bail set at $200,000 apiece. A preliminary hearing in their cases are set for Nov. 13 in magistrate court.
The raid at Woodall’s home at 396 Lakeshore Drive was precipitated by a series of heroin-related drug transactions in September and October, all of which involved the use of confidential informants.
Sheriff’s officials and Sandpoint Police have been quietly taking down suspected drug dealers using informants since this summer, according to court records.
Woodall and Johnson were arrested after sheriff’s drug agents searched Woodall’s home and recovered 97 grams of heroin and 25 grams of meth from a safe in a bedroom occupied by Johnson, a probable cause affidavit states.
In the weeks leading up to the raid, Woodall is accused of selling heroin to confidential informants on four occasions. Johnson is accused of aiding and abetting those drug transactions, in addition to selling meth to an informant in July.
Zoe Hannah Maynard, 19, was arrested along with Woodall and Johnson and charged with possession of meth and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.
