SAGLE — A structure fire overran a home on Hawthorne Drive on Wednesday night.

The fire was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Initial reports indicated the home’s occupants were able to escape the fire. The fire was reportedly fully involved within minutes of the initial call.

Neighbor Roger Barnes reported hearing a distinct popping sound and saw an orange glow through his window. He said the dwelling was a modified trailer home occupied by a woman.

Sagle Fire District officials were not immediately available for comment at the scene. Firefighters from other jurisdictions also responded, but it was not immediately clear which ones.

Bonner County EMS, sheriff’s deputies and Idaho State Police also responded.
