GOP, tea party are no friend to veterans

As a veteran I have found the GOP and especially the tea party to be no friend of the veteran.

Because of the GOP/tea party-engineered government shutdown, the VA claims resolution process was brought to a screeching halt. In other words, those veterans who have service connected injury claims with the VA will have to wait that much longer and then some for a resolution.

The GOP/tea party has no problem putting our young men and women in harm’s way, but when it comes to supporting our veterans after military service, it is not there. In fact, if the GOP/tea party had its way, the funding for the VA would be cut back significantly.

Whenever the GOP is in power, the best it will do for the VA is no funding cuts. Funding increases for the VA is only realized when the Democrats are in power. Any veteran who votes Republican is helping the GOP/tea party to spit on us veterans.
