Many are owed thanks for concert's success

| November 24, 2013 6:00 AM

The fifth annual Songwriter’s Circle concert was once again a wonderful show and there are many good people to thank for its success.

First and foremost, thanks to this year’s artists who gave freely of their time and talent — Dave and Tami Gunter, Brother Music, Patrice Webb and John Edwards and Jared Johnston. You were magnificent!  Jesse Gunn, our sound engineer, made everyone sound as great as they are!

As usual our board provided all the behind the scenes organizing and preparations — publicity, planning, organizing, setup and on and on — Gretchen Ward, Laura Bry, our Bonner County Human Rights Task Force representative, Donna Brundage, our president, Alysoun Johnston, J.P. Huguenin, and our high school human rights club representative, Eric Bruhjell.

Christine Holbert of Lost Horse Press designed and printed beautiful posters, programs and tickets. And of course, our sponsors, who came through big — Dan Shook for Bonner County Bicycles, Whiskeyjack Pottery, and The Shook Twins Nov. 30 concert, John Elsa, J.E. Electric, Nate and Andy Anderson, Anderson and Sons Plumbing, Gretchen Ward, and Bowers Construction — thanks for your generous support.

Also, thanks go to Brad and Lynda Scott of the Sandpoint Business and Events Center. You have a beautiful and well-run venue and your help throughout the day and evening are much appreciated.  And of course, a big thanks to all of you who attended and enjoyed the show and braved icy roads to come. We hope to see you all again next year!
