SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Middle School cross country boys team recently finished first at a meet in Twin Lakes and third at a meet in Coeur d’Alene, while the girls placed fourth and third, respectively.

The girls are paced by a solid three up front in Katherine Kaul, Niah Brass and Sharon Rowe. Erin Meek and Saydee Brass have been running four and five, each improving both place and time from the first to the second meet.

Sawyer Seley has been running second on the team, with Cole Baillie and Sloan Woodward pulling closer to him in the last meet.

Other top finishers for the Bullpup boys include Seley (6th), Woodward (11th), Baillie (12th) and Connor Matlosz (18th).

Other top finishers for the girls include Kaul (3rd), Niah Brass (4th), Rowe (7th), Saydee Brass (30th) and Meek (31st).
