MOSCOW — Mikhaela Woodward was the top junior, Sydney Foster was second place among the seniors and Rainey Woodward was second among freshman runners to lead the Sandpoint cross country team on Friday at the 13 team Moscow Invitational.

The meet format was unique, instead of a Varsity/JV format the races were run by class. The top 10 from each class were medalists, and there were no team scores kept. The course was very difficult, with multiple long hill climbs throughout.

“Our runners did a great job competing, and when compiling all of the times we were ahead of both Lakeland and Moscow as a team,” said Bulldogs head coach Matt Brass. “It gives the team confidence when we head to the same course in three weeks for Regionals.”
