Board is right to give matter serious thought

Steve Youndahl and the Lake Pend Oreille School Board are to be commended for holding a public hearing on the very controversial issue of arming staff members. Nothing is more important than the safety of our kids, grandkids, and, of course, staff members.

The board is right to give this matter very serious consideration before making any decision. Those members of the community who showed enough interest to attend the hearing are also to be commended.
