SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth annual Empowering Women In Business Conference next month.

Organized by the chamber’s Women In Business Committee, the conference will be held at the Coldwater Creek Auditorium on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Attendance is $55 for chamber members and $65 for non-chamber members, includes a light breakfast bar and lunch as well as the opportunity to take in two wonderful speakers.

Attending the event is very valuable for all walks of life, said chamber spokesman Mack Deibel.

The conference will feature professional self-development strategies to live a more balanced life, suggestions to help you enjoy work and life more, information about what life coaches do and advice on how to improve your skills!

“The Women In Business Conference was created in order to provide women in our region an opportunity to gather and learn from some of the best speakers and content that we could provide,” said Judy Baird, committee member of the Women In Business committee.

Baird said the conference will allow women to have an opportunity to interact, network, socialize and learn.

Keynote speaker Casey Young, will be presenting “A Balanced Life,” an interactive personal development program, covering the full spectrum of life’s challenges, opportunities and possibilities which will leave attendees with real-world applications and same-day results.

Deibel said Young’s energetic and positive attitude pairs well with his contagious passion for life, which he openly shares with everyone around him. He is an entrepreneur in every sense of the word, having owned and operated several businesses in marketing, design and fitness.

Young founded Limitless Life Coaching in 2009 coaches people in all areas of their lives, through all types of challenges, to help create happiness, balance, passion and purpose in each client’s life, as well as achieve goals and dreams. He also designs and facilitates corporate wellness programs that empower employees to achieve success through work/life balance, and helps employers create a more supportive work environment for their valued employees.

Also speaking is Amy Reynolds, senior vice president/human resources manager at Mountain West Bank in Coeur d’Alene. Reynolds, who has more than 16 years experience in human resources, has always focused on recognition and engagement and once she learned about the FISH! Philosophy she was hooked. The simple philosophies of this program, which grew out of real life circumstances from Seattle’s Pike’s Place Fish Market, are easy concepts to promote, not only for the work environment but also in your every day life.

After successfully implementing the program for multiple employers in her career, she has been embraced by management and employees alike, noting the changes to be extremely successful at increasing morale and retention. She will bring those lessons to the conference to share and give real examples of positive and effective changes that can work in every business.
