Sandpoint JV ties Charter

SANDPOINT — Natalie Goetz drove the length of the field and passed the ball to Abby Bartlett, who scored in the 66th minute for the Panthers, who played to a 1-1 tie against the Bulldog junior varsity on Tuesday at Centennial Field.

“It was a very good game,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Dave Baxter said. “It was another fast, well played game. They’re a good opponent for us. They’ve got great speed and I wish we could play them a few more times.”

Violet Plummer scored the equalizer in the 71st minute for the Bulldogs, and Paige Dumars made a couple of big saves to keep the game close.

The Bulldogs lost 2-0 to the Panthers in the first meeting of the season.

Coeur d’Alene Charter (3-0-1) travels to Bonners Ferry on Thursday.
