U.S. has no place attacking Syria

| September 10, 2013 7:00 AM

Some reasons for not going in to Syria:

1. The world should be appalled at the use of sarin gas. If the United Nations is supposed to be so great, they should take care of it. They won’t, so why should we? The U.N. is a worthless socialist money pit. Let them be seen for what they are.

2. The Russians want to support the Syrian regime. Let them, they will keep the Muslim Brotherhood out of the government there. The Russians will be more reasonable to negotiate with.

3. Hopefully, our government has enough sense and intelligence gathering to make sure any weapons we are supplying to the “rebels” aren’t going to be used on us later. Bashar Assad may be a despicable leader, but he is not “our” enemy. Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood are. Who are we actually helping? There is an old saying, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Duh, who’s on first?

4. For more than a quarter of a century, we have been sucked in to a quagmire of Middle Eastern, 17th century, ignorance. If it’s for the oil, be honest about it, and let the rest of them kill each other off and have “their” Allah sort them out.

5. There are those that believe the conflicts going on now will erupt in to World War III. If we don’t get involved, there is less chance of it becoming a reality.

6. We will never truly know, but I wonder how much influence the Muslim Brotherhood has in our federal administration.
