Levora wins second straight race to start season

SANDPOINT — Senior Sam Levora smoked the field, clocking a 16:18 to win the boys race Saturday at the Coeur d’Alene Invite at Hayden Canyon.
Jacob Graham (17th) and Sam Powell (18th) also posted high finishes for the boys, on a very technical and hilly course.
Sophomore Mikhaela Woodward ran a 20:46 to finish sixth overall, followed by Rainey Woodward (9th), Sydney Foster (10th) and Cori McClelland (18th) to lead the Bulldog girls.
Andy McGinnis finished third with a time of 19:08 to lead the Bulldog JV boys to a first place team finish, while Naomi Bradley ran a 23:56 to lead the JV girls to a second place team finish.
The Bulldogs are at the Bob Firman Invitational on Saturday at Eagle Island State Park near Boise.
