SANDPOINT — Thanks to Koch’s Recycling, a group of local businesses are banding together to make Sandpoint a little greener.

A nonprofit founded to reduce waste and increase efficiency among Bonner County businesses, Koch’s Recycling is an interconnective web binding together participating businesses in a network of trade. One person’s excess cardboard, for instance, might come in handy for someone else. Similarly, a glass-heavy business like the Pour Authority provides valuable materials for a recycled mulch perfect for an eye-catching walkway, flower bed or fire pit. For Koch’s Recycling founder Bridget and Charlie Koch, it’s just a few of the ways the nonprofit can change the way Sandpoint does business.
