Finalists picked for SFD chief

SANDPOINT — The search for the right individual to replace Robert Tyler as Sandpoint fire chief has been narrowed down to six candidates.

Since the city originally advertised the open position following Tyler’s retirement announcement early this year, more than 60 applicants expressed interest in the position. Since then, city officials have kept busy reviewing applications and narrowing down the number of potential final candidates.
