Human opinions are the deadliest disease

| April 8, 2014 7:00 AM

If I had to vote as to the most deadly disease facing humanity, I would nominate “human opinion.”

The basic reason is that opinion blocks seeing impersonal reality. All blind leaders love it. Just about everybody loves its opinions as if they were reality. Some use opinions as God’s will and kill for God’s sake. Some feel that their freedom to opinionate is a basic right even though it is a self-defeating poison.

As an airline passenger, we hope that the crew has no opinions, only the impersonal skill required to pilot the plane safely. We don’t need a reporter in the cockpit asking stupid questions.

Currently, America is overwhelmed with opinion insanity We have even turned the president into an opinion babbler. If I could, I would prohibit opinion-seeking reporters from operating in America. Just reveal reality, to heck with opinions.
