Austerity won't lead to American prosperity

Congressman Raul Labrador participated in last year’s government shutdown. Enacting many of his views would lead to far greater disasters. Examples:

He recommends federal lands be given to the states. Those lands belong to all U.S. citizens. Idaho politicos would just love to get their hands on all that property — to clear cut it or privatize it to those who would do likewise. We must be considered stupid not to recognize a scam like that.
