Bombing suspect waives preliminary hearing

BONNERS FERRY — Pipe bombing suspect Allen Stafford, aka Allen Avery, appeared in front of Judge Justin Julian and waived his preliminary hearing April 4.

Stafford agreed to the waiver after striking a deal with Prosecutor Jack Douglas, said Stafford’s court-appointed council.

Stafford is charged with aggravated felony assault and possession, plus destruction of an explosive device.
