SANDPOINT — There was no sibling rivalry on Monday as the Sandpoint tennis team made its home debut with a 12-0 sweep of Lakeland in 4A Inland Empire League tennis action at Travers Park and Lakeview Park.

Sandpoint head coach Kent Anderson paired up three doubles teams of siblings, as Kennedy and Laney Search, Spencer and Logan Temple and Daniel and David Durfee each won their doubles Matches in straight sets, dropping just two games along the way.

Lakeland was missing its top two boys players, which changed the lineup for the dual. Patrick Rockwell, Cia Hanford and Lauren Hon each won in their first singles action of the season, with Rockwell finishing off his opponent with four straight service winners.

Sandpoint travels to Post Falls tomorrow for a double dual against the Trojans and Lewiston, looking to show who’s the top team in North Idaho.
