Torrid Toenjes cards 77 to lead Bulldog golfers

HAYDEN — Freshman Max Toenjes fired his second consecutive round in the 70’s, shooting a 77 to lead the Bulldog golfers on Monday at the Coeur d’Alene Invite, played at the difficult Avondale Golf Course.

Toenjes, coming off a 74 in Pullman, is having success employing the Bulldogs’ mantra of taking one shot at a time, not letting one poor shot mess up future shots.
