Phillips' statement was irresponsible

At the Clark Fork forum, Marcia Phillips made irresponsible and ignorant statements regarding SilverWing’s litigation. This Southern California developer filed a lawsuit against Bonner County alleging the county took their property.

Apparently, Phillips based her knee-jerk opinion on her contacts with SilverWing’s public relations firm; whereupon she criticized commissioners for not compromising, and for wasting money to defend the county.

Had she done her homework, Phillips would have learned that the prior and current commissioners have always voted unanimously to defend the county, since the county has not taken any part of SilverWing’s property to warrant this lawsuit.
