Jail suicide investigated

BONNERS FERRY — A Bonners Ferry man died of an apparent suicide at the Boundary County Jail after being arrested on Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.

David Lee Erickson, 43, was arrested in Bonners Ferry on a warrant and further charged with resisting arrest. Boundary County Sheriff Chief Deputy Rich Stevens said a Taser was used to subdue Erickson during the arrest, but he was not injured and in good health when Erickson was booked into the jail for the night.
