Festival celebrating opening night with fireworks, tribute

SANDPOINT — The Festival at Sandpoint kicks off its 32nd season tonight at Memorial Field with a brew tasting, fireworks, a concert starring indie folk sensation The Head and The Heart and a toast to local legend John Conlan.

When the gates open at 6 p.m. Brew Festers over the age of 21 will have the opportunity to sample the area’s finest microbrews at this “Festival within the Festival” featuring brews from : Alaskan, Bale Breaker, Deschutes, Iron Goat, Kootenai River, Laughing Dog, Leinenkugel’s, MickDuff’s, NoLi, Orlison, River City, Sockeye, Trickster’s and Wallace.
