Thunderstorms cause little damage
SANDPOINT — Compared to Bonner County’s last brush with angry Mother Nature, Tuesday’s thunderstorms were barely a tantrum.
According to Idaho Department of Lands and law enforcement officials, this summer’s third thunderstorm did relatively little local damage, especially when compared with the last two incidents.
Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler said that, apart from scattered power outages and a few isolated incidents, the storm-related requests for assistance were far fewer than earlier this month.
“We got busy for about an hour, but otherwise, it was a normal patrol day,” Wheeler said.
