Mamas, don't let your kids get too much sun exposure
I hope I’m not a day late and a dollar short on this request, but please, please protect your children from too much sun exposure. I was at City Beach last weekend and saw no fewer than eight children with what I’d describe as severe sunburns and several more with a more mild variety.
It just reminded me to remind you that getting just one blistering sunburn in childhood more than doubles a person’s chance of developing melanoma later in life. And, you know that melanoma is the leading cause of death from skin disease. Seriously, sunburns are very dangerous.
