SANDPOINT — Despite a few nerve-wracking rain clouds, the Festival at Sandpoint charted another successful year with relatively few mishaps.

According to festival director Dyno Wahl, the Festival’s leadership grew worried when bad weather threatened to curb ticket sales. The threat of a rain-out even forced the Festival board to vote on a new weather policy last week determining what circumstances were too unsafe to hold a performance. Despite the worrying factors, however, Wahl said the Festival ended its 2014 season just slightly below ticket sales expectations. To top it all off, fundraising came in higher than anticipated.

“I think we’re going to come out with a decent year despite the weather,” said Wahl.
