We just wanted to share with you how fortunate we are to live in this small town. On Saturday, Aug. 2, we were on our bikes when the windstorm started. After the first explosion of power lines, we needed to find shelter and went under the overhang of a private residence. The homeowner came outside and made us come in. She offered us food and drinks, which we declined, but this complete stranger made sure that we were safe and sheltered. You don’t find that in even medium size cities any longer.
I am so happy, and maybe alive, because I live in Sandpoint.
