Bonner General hosts grief acceptance class

| August 27, 2014 7:00 AM

Today I’m talking to those of you are mourning the loss of a loved one. Right now, after you finish eating your breakfast and reading this newspaper, you’ll want to contact Benjamin Robertson or Lissa DeFreitas at Bonner General Hospice to sign up for the eight-week Coping with Grief classes.

These classes are designed to help you understand the process of grieving while remembering the deceased. You’ll learn how to understand your grief, express your feelings, handle stress, learn coping skills, accept role changes and learn how to use social support to work through issues.

Held on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting Sept. 3 through Oct. 22, these classes are free of charge.

However, there is a registration screening application that you must complete and today is the deadline. Call Robertson at 265-1179 or DeFreitas at 265-1185 to sign up.
