Hospital delivered outstanding care
Kudos to the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit staff at Bonner General Health.
On July 18, I was admitted to BGH for a minor procedure. Near the end of that procedure, I went into atrial fibrillation. After several hours, although it did not correct itself, it did slow down enough that I was released and went home. About four or five hours later, while standing at my kitchen window, I became very light-headed and almost passed out. I made it to my recliner and sat down, becoming very hot and clammy. I called my granddaughter to drive me to the ER.
When I explained what happened, they were right on top of it. Within a short period of time, I was told that I would be at least spending the night. It turned out to be five days in ICU.
The care I received was outstanding. The staff in both the ER and ICU were great; they put me at ease, made me feel safe, and that I mattered.
Thank you for all your kindness and dictation. I have been in some pretty big hospitals in my time, but have never gotten the level of attention and care that I received during my stay at Bonner General’s ICU.
