CLARK FORK — A slow start offensively proved costly for Clark Fork, which didn’t score a point until the second quarter, ultimately falling 43-36 to the Post Falls J2 team in nonleague girls basketball Tuesday night at Clark Fork High School.
The Wampus Cats (0-3) trailed 14-0 early in the second quarter, before heating up and scoring 17 points in the quarter to close to seven at half.
Allison Warner stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, 16 rebounds and six steals, helping lead the Cats on a second half comeback that saw them close the gap to one point at 33-32 in the fourth quarter, before the Trojans closed it out.
