United States has become a plutocracy

I have long believed that America has become a plutocracy — government of the wealthy, by the wealthy, for the wealthy.

We see the results in the decline of the middle-class, the push to privatize government services and programs, the relentless cuts in taxes and government spending that hurt the middle and working class, government bailouts for big business and expansion of spending on election campaigns.
