The Bee’s guest opinion (Nov. 23, 2014) was written by the president of the local chapter on the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Far North). Ms. Snoddy stated that the NAMI board of director “decries” (The Random House Dictionary definition: “to speak disparagingly of”) the fatal shooting of a woman by our local police as well as the conclusion by another county’s prosecutor that the officers’ action was justified. Ms. Snoddy failed to support that criticism.
