Free throws, teamwork fuel Wampus Cat win
MULLAN — Brandan Bowen scored 15 points to lead the Wampus Cats past the Tigers in a North Star League game on Thursday night at the Mullan Pavilion.
“It was a tight game until the fourth quarter, then our transition basketball started to work for us,” Clark Fork coach Corey Vogel said. “It was a total team effort tonight.”
Clark Fork (4-10, 1-4 NSL) shot 12 of 16 from the free throw line in the win and will travel to Kootenai on Saturday.
Hunter Kotschevar scored 19 points for Mullan (3-8, 1-5), which hosts Highland of Craigmont tonight.

MULLAN — Lyndsie Kiebert scored 28 points to lead the Wampus Cats past the Tigers in a North Star League game on Thursday night at the Mullan Pavilion.
“We played a good, solid game,” Clark Fork coach Mark Stevens said. “We played strong the entire game, which we hadn’t been doing, but tonight, we played four solid quarters and moved the ball really well.”
Alicia Heigis had 12 rebounds, Leslie Kiebert six points and Callie Potter five points, five assists and three steals for Clark Fork (1-14, 1-5 NSL), which travels to Kootenai on Saturday.
