Greater Sandpoint Chamber honors Sweet Lou's
SANDPOINT — Sweet Lou’s was recently recognized by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce.
The restaurant was named the chamber’s December Business of the Month. After opening its first location in Hope in April 2011, Sweet Lou’s owner and staff said they’ve loved being a part of the community and give back in numerous ways.
This month, Sweet Lou’s in Ponderay is now its year-round location with the same great menu and standards as their Hope location but with a family sports-bar angle.
“At Sweet Lou’s, I make great food and excellent customer service our top priorities,” said owner Chad Foust. “During training, I stress to my employees the importance of a satisfied customer, not only with their meal, but their entire experience while in the restaurant.”
Foust said its important to give back to a community that has given him the chance to live out his dream as business owner. While he wish they could give to all organizations, he said the restaurant is strategic in its philanthropic efforts. A few of the organizations supported by Sweet Lou’s include the Long Bridge Swim, 24 Hours for Hank, local sport teams, Hope Memorial Center, Relay For Life, Bulldog Bench, Susan G. Komen Foundation, EXCEL Foundation, Festival of Trees, SHS Grad Night and Kinderhaven.
