BONNERS FERRY — Whether a three-lane highway, five-lane highway or a bypass for Highway 95 through the South Hill is decided upon, all businesses along the highway will be impacted.

Even a three-lane improvement for the entire South Hill would need more right-of-way than what is out there, said Don Davis of the Idaho Transportation Department.

The right-of-way doesn’t have to be equal on both sides of the existing road, it could go to one side or the other if necessary, said Bonners Ferry City Administrator Stephen Boorman, at a Highway 95 workshop on Feb. 4.
