Phillips seeking GOP nomination

SANDPOINT — Former Bonner County Commissioner Marcia Phillips is seeking the Republican nomination for the District 1 seat on the board.

Phillips faces incumbent District 1 Commissioner Glen Bailey in the May 20 primary election.

“I love the work,” Phillips said of her decision to stand for election again. “I love serving in that capacity.”

Phillips served from 2003-2007, an eventful period in the commission’s history that saw the re-establishment of Bonner County Dispatch, the establishment of a county EMS district and the widespread tumult of steep increases to property value in Bonner County.
