24 Hours of Schweitzer returns on March 21-22

| February 18, 2014 6:00 AM

SANDPOINT —  Registration is now open for the sixth annual 24 Hours of Schweitzer, the all-day, all-night fundraiser held in honor of seven-year-old Hank Sturgis of Sandpoint and others suffering from the rare, fatal disease cystinosis. This year’s theme is “Cowboy UP for a Cure”.

New to this year’s event is the 24 Hour Challenge Category. This category consists of 3- or 4-person teams and will be based on a point system. Teams receive points for each minute they ski and for completing hourly challenges. Teams in this category will also be allowed to ski the entire resort from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by skiing on designated runs afterwards.
