Travers leads strong group of Bulldogs at state

SANDPOINT — Boasting a sterling 37-5 record, senior Josh Travers (220 pounds) will lead a small but talented group of seven Bulldog wrestlers at the state tournament, which starts Friday at the Idaho Center in Nampa.

The 6-foot-5 Travers presents a difficult matchup for the entire field, usually a few inches taller than his opponents and able to utilize a reach advantage in the ties. Like most of the brackets, advancing won’t be easy, but Travers earned the No. 2 seed with a rock-solid season.
