Zeischegg seeking District 2 nomination
SANDPOINT — Victoria Zeischegg of Sandpoint has announced her candidacy for the District 2 seat on the Bonner County commission.
Zeischegg will compete with Todd Sudick for the Republican nomination in the May 20 primary election. The District 2 seat is currently occupied by Commissioner Mike Nielsen, who pledged during his campaign not to seek a second term.
Victoria and her husband, Dr. Peter Zeischegg, own and operate www.drz.org, a wellness website assisting clients to get and stay healthy without drugs or surgery. As a small business owner, she managed Zeischegg Chiropractic Neurology Clinic for 12 years, including developing the drz.org website.
She is active in the community and currently presides as president of Bonner County Republican Women, and has served on the board of directors for Angels Over Sandpoint.
Zeischegg’s community activism and small business experience in this community have given her great insight into the effects of the economic downturn of Bonner County families. She believes jobs can be created by keeping taxes and regulations low. She believes that Idaho should be the responsible manager of Idaho’s natural resources, fulfilling the state motto of “Esto Perpetua”; making sure that our natural treasures will remain perpetual assets for our area.
Zeischegg pledges to be a citizen candidate, never forgetting that the county works for the citizens, not the other way around. Victoria’s takes a conservative approach to government, vowing to be fiscally responsible and to work to limit government’s intrusion into people’s lives. Her political, small business and volunteer experience make her an asset to the board of Bonner County commissioners.
