Man arrested on DUI offense
SANDPOINT — A western Bonner County man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after rolling his snowmobile late Monday night.
Jeffrey Caleb Fowler was charged with a felony due to two prior drunken driving convictions in Kootenai County, according to charging documents.
Fowler, 30, made an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Tuesday, according to court records.
Judge Lori Meulenberg sustained his $25,000 bail and required him two take breath alcohol tests twice a day if he bonds out of the Bonner County Jail.
Sheriff’s deputies and emergency personnel were summoned to the 200 block of Parsons Drive southwest of Priest River after receiving a report of the accident. Fowler admitted riding the snowmobile, but later recanted the admission, a sheriff’s deputy report said.
Fowler declined to perform field sobriety tests and his breath alcohol level was measured at 0.21 and 0.19, the deputy’s report said.
