Hearing waived in child porn case
SANDPOINT — A former Sandpoint accused of possessing and distributing child pornography waived his right Wednesday to a preliminary hearing in Bonner County Magistrate Court.
Jerry Allan Horner’s waiver amounts to tacit agreement that the state possesses enough evidence to warrant a trial in 1st District Court. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 21.
Horner, 48, is charged with 26 counts of possession of child pornography, six counts of distributing child porn, and single counts of possessing methamphetamine and aiding and abetting a crime against nature.
Horner, who relocated to Spokane, Wash., after the charges against him became public, is free on his own recognizance while the case is pending.
Horner became the subject of an Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation after he allegedly offered child pornography for downloading on a peer-to-peer file-sharing network in May 2012.
Task force agents raided his Sandpoint home and discovered a trove of video clips depicting child pornography and a video of his wife engaged in an act of bestiality.
The couple relocated to Spokane, Wash., after the charges against them became public.
Kimberly Horner, 49, is charged with a crime against nature and drug possession at the felony and misdemeanor levels.
Kimberly Horner’s three-day trial in district court is scheduled for March 10.
