Thunder hoopsters square off against Patriots

KOOTENAI — Taryn Osman and Tessa Murray scored seven points each, but it wasn’t enough, as the Kootenai Thunder girls lost 37-22 to the Christian Heritage Patriots in Mountain Christian League basketball action at Kootenai Elementary School recently.

Hali Aller added six points and Rebecca Keller two in defeat for the Thunder.

Led by 14 points from Zach Couch, the Thunder boys beat the Patriots 54-22 in recent home action. Joel Crosby scored nine points, Curtis Roop seven, T.J. Alsager and Shayne Jensen six points each, Joel Smith five, Jimmy Soderberg four and Jason Roop three in a balanced scoring effort.

Both Thunder teams will be in action at home on Friday, with the girls tipping off at 5:15 and the boys at 6:45 at  Kootenai Elementary.
